                    women cause unhappiness by thinking more of fashion than providing a happy home
                    for their husbands to return to after a difficult work day. He discusses family
                    news and plans for a future visit.</p>

                <p>Your dear &amp; welcome letter of the 17th came Safely to hand &amp; was
                    read with much <orig reg="interest">intrust</orig>. Your ideas in regards the
                    duty of a wife to her husband are Very good indeed. how much more happiness
                    there would be in this world if wives would Study the <orig reg="interest"
                        >intrust</orig> of <orig reg="their">there</orig> husband More <orig
                        reg="than">then</orig> they do but a <orig reg="great">greate</orig> many
                    think more of the fashions of this world <orig reg="than">then</orig> the <orig
                        reg="happiness">happeness</orig> of <orig reg="their">there</orig> husbands
                    they never Spend one thought <orig reg="about">a bout</orig> making home happy
                        <pb n="2"/> &amp; cheerful nor for the one who is working daily for her
                    comfort. oh how <orig reg="pleasant">plesent</orig> &amp; Sweet it is for a
                    husband after his daily <orig reg="labors">labours</orig> are over to Know that
                    he has a true <orig reg="loving">loveing</orig> wife at home <orig reg="waiting"
                        >wayting</orig> with a true <orig reg="loving">loveing</orig> welcome for
                    him. Such a husband is truly <orig reg="blessed">blesed</orig>. Your Pa <orig
                        reg="arrived">rived</orig> in our City this morning I Suppose he will leave
                    for home this Evening I did not get to <orig reg="speak">Speake</orig> to him.
                    You may look for me down next Saturday as <orig reg="these">thes</orig> are moon
                    light nights I can travel Very well. Johny Noon will come with me. I hope it
                    will be a <unclear>perty</unclear> night if it is not you need not look <pb
                        n="3"/> for me <orig reg="until">untill</orig> Sunday morning. I love you
                    with unchanging devotion of my heart &amp; Soul &amp; ever Shall as long
                    as I live the entire devotion of my heart is yours yes I do love you more <orig
                        reg="than">then</orig> all in this world. I Send love to your Ma, Ada
                    &amp; Hamie. Ella &amp; family are all well. I send a loving Kiss to you
                    I love you with my whole heart &amp; Soul. God bless you. Good bye</p>
